Staffing

All staff are encouraged to develop their skills in clinical practice and communication. We believe that staff and residents should show mutual respect for each other in order to maintain a happy and fulfilled environment.

Meals

We pride ourselves in the provision of excellent home-cooked meals that constitute a well balanced diet. There is always a choice of two main dishes but likes and dislikes can be catered for quite easily. Meals are served in the Dining Rooms unless a resident chooses to eat in their room. Please click to view our current menus.

'Everything was done in a very calm and caring way - her physical and emotional needs were always at the forefront of the care and assistance she received from all the staff there. Nothing was too much trouble."

Outings and Activities Programme

Our residents are encouraged to participate in the social life of the Home or in pursuit of their own hobbies and leisure interests. We offer a range of activities and a full programme of events each week, including a monthly residents’ meeting.

With our own dedicated minibus, residents are also encouraged to take part in our regular outings and excursions. These include attending concerts, pub lunches, visits to the seaside, weekly shopping trips, visits to the Royal Hospital Chelsea for Founder's Day and to the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Birthday parties are held for all residents alongside Christmas and Easter parties and a summer Garden Party, which is attended by In Pensioners from the Royal Hospital Chelsea with the Royal Hospital Band providing the musical entertainment.
